Jets QB Sam Darnold Out For Week 2 With Mono

The Jets Head Coach Adam Gase told QB Sam Darnold that he would miss Monday night’s game against the Browns due to mono.

The Jets said that QB Sam Darnold could potentially miss several weeks depending on how long Sam Darnold is ill.

Jets Head Coach Adam Gase said he was happy that they have any early bye week this year. They have a Week 4 bye this year. The Jets could have Sam Darnold back for Week 5 against the Eagles.

Jets backup QB Trevor Siemian will get the start in Sam Darnold’s place as long as Sam is ill.
